Here's a quick video of a symbian app that helps me out a lot on this blog. It's called the Best Screen Snap by Smartphoneware. Once it is installed, the icon just says ScreenSnap, so you decide how to call it. The app lets you capture screenshots on your smartphone, and save them to the phone gallery. You can then transfer it to the desktop or share it to your imaging hosts. There's configurable hotkey to make a screenshot. I selected the half-press on my Nokia N8's camera button.

This very brief tutorial will show you how to take a screenshot using your iPad, and how to transfer it to your PC or Mac.The process is actually exactly the same as it is with an iPhone or iPod Touch. Click the Power button on the top right corner of your iPad, and while holding it down, click the “iPad Button”. You’ll see the screen ‘flash’ white and hear a camera ‘clicking’ sound. Now open the Photos app on your iPad. You’ll the screenshot you just took as a thumbnail. Tap that photo to view the screenshot.

The easiest way to transfer a screenshot to your PC or Mac is to email it to yourself. To do so, tap the “arrow” button on the upper-right corner of the screen while you’re viewing the screenshot. Select Email Photo. Mail will automatically open with the image attached to a message. Just fill out the address you want to send it to, give the email a subject and enter any info you want in the body of the message. Then click Send. That’s it!
Ever since I got my Gen-1 iPad back in the fall of 2010, I’ve been yearning for a way to take screen shots with it. I finally resorted to dragging out my camera, propping up the Pad, taking photos of the screen, and uploading the images to my Mac for processing. They were usually under-exposed images with my forehead, chin, and the front of my camera prominently superimposed on the iPad’s screen. I’ve been using this crude, time consuming method for nearly two years now and I’m sick of it. Sick, I tell you. Sick to death of it!So, lately I’ve been looking for an app that would do the job.
I d/l’d a couple from the app store but neither of them worked.I’m probably the last sentient being in The Milky Way to know the iPad has it’s own built-in process for taking screen shots of itself. What a revelation! Probably the single best thing I’ve learned about my iPad.Thank you, Mr McKillop! I have a problem: all screenshots format will be automaticly.png and not.jpeg. It is problem, the iPad makes all png files in much bigger size (a jpeg file arrond 150 KB and a png file arround 1.2 MB – so it is very big different), and also I have problem with png files, because if I download them to my pc (using TouchCopy which is a great application downloading anything from your iPad) I just get an empty pic. And if I want to open it I got a warning message: “this heas a bad header – your pc can’t open it.” And also this downloaded png files have 0 kb filesize. —-My question: do you have any idea how I can change my iPad’s settings make it to make screenshots in jpeg format, or how I can fix this problem? Thanks!
Please can you tell me how to attach my cv to an application or download it to a Jobsite I am registering with. Every time I get to the download/attach document bit and I click on the download button, the only options I get are take a photo or attach one from the library. This is really slowing me down. I would happily attach my docs using my laptop, but the reason I got an ipad in the first place was because my laptop broke and I just thought well an ipad should be able to do so much more.
I have google drive, cloud on, Dropbox yet I still can’t attach any document to anything or download docs to any website. Somebody help me please.
